A Cry For My Sisters

Today, as I gazed out the window, I flung it open wide to feel the warmth of the sun on my face, and tears filled my eyes. I lifted my hands to the Heavens and cried—yes, I cried.

I cried for my sisters who are bound and for those who are free!  I cried for the little girl that lives inside of me.

I cried for my sisters whose dreams seem so far away but won't quit.  I cried for the sisters whose journey is not finished yet. I cried—yes, I cried!

I cried for my sisters who were happy and for those who were sad. For my sisters who are good and those who are mad.  I cried for the sisters who could and those who could not. I cried for the sisters who have made it to the top!

So, here’s to my sisters who I love and adore!
Here’s to my sisters who want more!

May the Lord help you, strengthen you, and have mercy too. May the Lord keep you and sustain you in all that you do.

For we are family, united in tears, hopes and victories.
So, I cry for all my sisters in me.
