Today as I looked out the window, I opened it wide.
I lifted my hands up to Jesus and I cried!
I cried, yes I cried!!!
I cried for the sisters who are bounded and the sisters who are free.
I cried for the little girl that still lives inside of me.
I cried for the sisters who are happy and the sisters who are sad.
I cried for the sisters who are angry and the sisters who are mad.
I cried, yes I cried!!!
I cried for the sisters who could and the sisters who could not.
I cried for the sisters who have made it to the top!
I cried for the sisters whose dreams seem so far away but will not quit.
I cried for the sisters whose journey is not finished yet.
I cried, yes I cried!!!
Lord help my sisters, strengthen my sisters and have mercy too.
Lord keep them and sustain them in all that they do.
So, here’s to the sisters whom I love and adore! Here’s to the sisters that want more!
For we are family and I cried for all my sisters in me
